One address, one human, two business days. No ticket number and no chat bot.

Reaching a person

There is no ticket system and no bot. Mail arrives in a human inbox and gets an answer within two business days.

support@digitalnafta.com is the address. Put DeductHound in the subject line so it lands in the right pile.

Before you write

Tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, the app version from Settings, and what you tapped. If a receipt failed to read, describe the paper rather than sending it.

Never send us a receipt, a bank statement, a tax return or an account number. We cannot see them, we do not want them, and we will never ask you for one. If you send a photo of a receipt we will delete it and tell you we did.

The messages we expect most

The scan read the wrong total

It happens, and it is why the confirmation screen exists. Every field is editable next to the photograph before anything is saved, and when no total is found the field is left empty and focused so you can type it. Thermal paper that has faded, a crease straight through the total line and a receipt photographed at an angle are the three usual causes. Flatten it, shoot straight down, and let the frame settle before you capture.

I have a shoebox and a deadline

Use batch import rather than the camera. Photograph nothing: pick the receipts already sitting in your camera roll, let the app process them in one pass, then work down the confirmation queue. Each one that read cleanly is a single tap.

I paid and it still asks me to pay

Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Settings, using the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still asks after that, write to us with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.

I changed phone and my receipts are gone

Sign in to the same iCloud account and turn iCloud Drive on for the app. Sync uses your own private iCloud, so the data comes back from your account and not from ours. If iCloud was off on the old device there is no copy anywhere, which is why the app nags about it on first run.

My iCloud storage is full

Receipt photographs are compressed hard and thumbnails are generated separately, but a year of paper still adds up. Free space in Settings, your name, iCloud, or export a CSV and a PDF for a closed year and delete those receipts from the app.

Subscriptions, receipts and refunds

Apple handles all of it. To cancel or change a plan, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. For a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but tell us what happened and we will help.

The price is 79.99 US dollars per year or 12.99 US dollars per week, with no free trial, so nothing charges you by surprise after a countdown. The full wording is in the Terms of Use.

Your privacy, in one line

Your receipts, the amounts on them and the photographs never leave your iPhone and your own private iCloud. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Tax questions

We cannot answer them, and you should not want us to. DeductHound records and totals what you enter, and it is not tax advice. For what belongs on Schedule C, read the IRS instructions. For what you owe and when, the IRS estimated taxes page is the primary source, and our free calculator turns it into a number you can plan around. For your actual return, talk to a tax professional.

Feature requests and bugs

Same address. We read every one of them. The honest answer about the roadmap is that anything which would make the app claim more than it can measure is not going to be built, and that includes automatic categorisation that hides its own guesswork.

Or leave an address here

Same inbox, one less step. We write back rather than just adding you to a list. If you only want the launch message, send it empty.
