Reaching a person
There is no ticket system and no bot. Mail arrives in a human inbox and gets an answer within two business days.
Before anything else
If you feel fewer movements, call your midwife now. Firstsong is not a medical device, it is not a doppler and it uses no ultrasound. It cannot tell you that your baby is well, and a quiet session tells you nothing either way.

Before you write
Tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, whether you were on wired headphones or Bluetooth, and what you tapped. Never send us health data of any kind. We cannot see it, we do not want it, and we will never ask you for it.
The three messages we get most
I cannot hear anything. This is the most common one and it is usually not a fault. Use wired headphones if you have them, because Bluetooth adds delay and drops the low end. Sit somewhere genuinely quiet, rest the phone flat on bare skin low on the abdomen, and move it slowly a few centimeters at a time. Before week 28 the sound is often not there to be found, and an anterior placenta muffles it at any week. Firstsong stays silent rather than invent something, so no reading is a real answer and not a broken app.
The rhythm I heard was my own pulse. Firstsong is built to catch exactly that and say it out loud. Give it the maternal reference, either an Apple Watch through Apple Health or a finger resting on the camera, and it can rule out your own pulse and the doubled echo of it that lands right in the range people mistake for a baby.
I paid and it still asks me to pay. Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Settings, using the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still asks after that, write to us with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.
Subscriptions, receipts and refunds
Apple handles all of it. To cancel or change a plan, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. For a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but tell us what happened and we will help.
Your privacy, in one line
Your audio, your recordings and your pregnancy week never leave your iPhone and your own private iCloud. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Feature requests and bugs
Same address. We read every one of them, and the honest answer about the roadmap is that anything which would make the app claim more than it can measure is not going to be built.
Or leave an address here
Same inbox, one less step. Say what you need in the note and we will write back rather than just add you to the list. If you only want the launch message, leave the note empty.
Stored on our own server, never sold, never shared. Your IP is hashed, not kept. Nothing about your pregnancy is asked for or stored.
